FREQUENTLY ASKED AROMATHERAPY QUESTIONS:
The answer here is that anyone can be a certified Aromatherapist. Please choose wisely the credentials of a Teacher that you learn from.
First of all you do not need to purchase essential oils to take these Aromatherapy school programs. But if you feel you need to this is what we suggest you look for: Look for essential oils in dark brown glass bottles labeled with common name and Latin name, certified organic, with proper cautions on label. Oils that are grown organically are more expensive, but their quality makes them worth the price. For an example of the quality and price of essential oils, let us take a look at jasmine oil. The oil of jasmine is most concentrated in the petals at night, which means the flowers must be picked before dawn. Millions of blossoms are essential to extract one pound of pure essential oil of jasmine. A single plant does not contain much essential oil. During the day, oil moves to the stalks and leaves, but these can't be harvested because that would destroy the plant. Once the blossoms are harvested, the process of production is costly. An inexpensive oil of jasmine can never be authentic, genuine or pure. Buyer beware! If you purchase essential oils from shops or in the catalogues, you may well find the best price does not necessarily mean the best essential oil. Keep in mind, however that all over the world there are suppliers whose goal is to make as much profit as possible by using the minimal amount of pure essential oil. They adulterate the oil with similar oils, vegetable oils, or alcohol, and possibly synthetic oils which are used as substitutes. These synthetics have no therapeutic properties at all. Although they smell good, your olfactory sense does not recognize them as therapeutic agents, and you will experience none of the effects you might expect, since these substances have no life force. They simply smell pretty. Diluted oils do not have the complete therapeutic components of pure oils. You can never be sure which substances the dilution contains, unless the label states than an absolute oil is a diluted oil with a high quality vegetable oil additive.

Thank you so much for my message regarding the fur coat spray and aromatherapy for paw care.
I learned in Module Two about the allergies of carrier oils in humans. I knew that dogs can be allergic to soy and wheat and that chocolate (especially baking chocolate) and onions are not to be given to them but thanks to your explanation now I know that dogs, like humans, can also be allergic to ragweed, nuts, bee stings, etc. I will definitely take this into consideration. I massaged a Boxer a couple of weeks ago who, according to her mom, is allergic to 12 things including grass, maple trees, and cotton.
In Module One, Under Safety First, in number 6 you explain how certain essential oils in the general antiseptic spray for a citrus blend and use it instead as a natural flea repellent spray on the dog's fur coat, is photosensitization still a risk even though the oils are highly diluted and their skin is protected by fur hair?
Light and Laughter Ana
Dear Ana: I have received your payment for Modules 6 - 10 though Paypal with thanks. I am sure you will enjoy these modules. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to email us. Would you like to receive your video by DVD or VHS? I will mail out your package this week. I also learned that dogs can be allergic to garlic as well. Yes I would take photosensitization into consideration even though the oils are highly diluted and their skin is protected by fur/hair. Dogs can still get sunburn under their fur.

Once I complete my modules, I know I have case studies and a final exam. How are these done? Will my final exam be online?
Thank you,
Julie Fender
Dear Julie: To complete the case studies, watch the video a few times and fill out the form of which you were given. Yes, the exam is online.

I wanted to let you know that my research paper is being translated. I believe my boss wants to put it on our web site so that it will be available to other hospices, health professionals who work with people living with HIV/AIDS and the general public. I just want to say that this is a compliment to your teachings and I thank you for sharing your knowledge.
Blessings,
Judith

By the way, I had spoken with Ms. Mitchell before about my father and various creams I was going to create for the holidays for people. I wanted to follow up with her and let her know that the info she gave me for the stones was perfect. Everyone loved them. And I created a foot cream for my father who had an athlete's foot for about 40 years since Vietnam. He is amazed that it's actually clearing up. And the women loved the facial cream I made them. Please let her know.
Have a great day,
