BLACK
PEPPER

Black
pepper oil is hot, warming. Its principal areas of action are urinary, respiratory, and
digestive systems. It stimulates
urination and digestion. Black
Pepper helps to bring physical endurance.
CAUTION:
Care should be taken by those with sensitive skins.
Too frequent use may over-stimulate the kidneys.
Use in the lowest concentrations, as it may irritate the skin.
Do
not use during pregnancy. Do not use for a person who has high blood pressure.
Black pepper is considered quite an irritant to the colon and liver is
high doses. Do not use for a person
who has a condition in the colon and liver.
Cypress:
Good
for: 1.
Respiratory problems
2.
heavy losses of liquid from the body
3.
Regulating the menstrual cycle
A
drop of cypress oil on the pillow has an antispasmodic effect and will ease
coughs. Cypress oil acts especially
on the bronchii, so it is one of the oils to think of when treating asthma.
A drop or two inhaled from a tissue will help to ease an asthma attack
and the spasmodic coughing of whooping cough.
As a preventative measure a diffuser could be used to help as an on-going
basis between treatments.
If
your horse has an abcess, use hot water soaks, with a couple drops of
Frankincense, 8 drops of Cypress.
Soak twice a day until the bucked cools down....maybe about twenty minutes -if
the horse will stand that long with it's foot in a bucket.
Caution:
Although people who have been exposed to cypress wood have developed
contact dermatitis, the essential oil is generally regarded as non-irritant and
non-sensitizing. Essential Oil of
Cypress will help regulate the menstrual cycles, this means that it would be
ill-advised to use during pregnancy.
FLAMMABLE
Lavender:
Other names: English lavender,
garden lavender.
Good
for:
1. Beneficial for skin conditions
2.
Induces a positive state of mind and emotions
3.
Head aches and migraines
In
addition to being extremely useful medicinally, Lavender has a delicate and
beautiful fragrance. Lavender is relaxing, and balancing - physically and
emotionally. Lavender was used as
an antiseptic in Ancient Arabian, Greek and Roman medicines.
Its genus, name comes from the latin ‘lavare’ to wash, probably
referring to its use as a bath additive for the purification of the body and
spirit. Lavender is known as the
universal oil which may be beneficial for skin conditions such as burns, rashes,
psoriasis. Lavender is one of the
most valuable oils for the treatment of acne, it inhibits the bacteria which
cause skin infection, while soothing the skin, helping to balance the
over-secretion of sebum. The oil
will also stimulate the growth of healthy new cells, making it an important oil
to choose in cases of eczema. Good for burns, dry skin, eczema, heat rash, bites, stings,
scarring, sunburn.
Lavender
can help tight, cramping, sore muscles, etc. Add a few drops on your palm and
rub gently. Remember to use the skin patch test first.
Excellent for working dogs and people too! Take a bath with 2 tablespoons
of carrier and 3 drops of lavender for sports injuries.
Lavender is calming, anti-depressive, anti-inflammatory, and helpful for
treating burns. It is extremely useful as a fungicide and germicide. It can be
applied directly to the skin, incorporated into sprays and shampoos, and is
wonderful diluted in distilled water and/or alcohol for use as a room freshener.
To calm down nervous or hyperactive dogs, place a few drops on the dog's bed,
crate pad or sleeping area. Also, rub a little on the foot pads.
Blend
to Relieve Skin Problems and itching for animals and people.

Pour the following essential oils into a 25-ml bottle and fill with carrier.
Apply to afflicted area.
-3 drops Lavender
-3 drops Geranium
Peppermint:
1. Good for the digestive system

Induces a positive state of mind and emotions

Aids respiratory function
Peppermint
lives up to its centuries-old reputation for easing indigestion and other
ailments. Dr. Jean Valnet, M.D. a
famous Doctor who discovered the medicinal properties when Dr. Rene Maurice
Gattefosse sent him oils to use in war victims in 1946 studied peppermint’s
effect on the liver and respiratory systems.
Blend
to Boost Animal’s Energy

Prepare the following blend by pouring the essential oils into a 25-ml bottle
and adding organic carrier to fill. Massage the spine gently. Use in the
mornings only.
-3 drops Rosemary
-3 drops Lavender
-3 drops Peppermint
Caution: Peppermint oil can cause a
rash, itchiness, burning or irritation. Peppermint
oil can cause contact sensitization. Rotate
between different essential oils. Dilute
well! Do not use in the bath!
Since
the oil promotes menstruation, it is best avoided during pregnancy.
Peppermint
should not be used if any homeopathic remedies are being taken, and must be
stored far away from such remedies. As
it can antidote them.
Do
not use peppermint in the evening, as it can cause wakefulness.
It is unwise to use it over long periods, as it may cause a great
disturbance of the normal sleep pattern. Avoid
contact with eyes, mucous membranes. Do
not apply neat to a fresh wound or burn. Do
not use essential oils rich in menthol (such as peppermint) on children under 30
months of age. Do not use with
clients who have high blood pressure.
